MONTES AUTO SPA · AUTOMOTIVE WINDOW TINT
A non-reflective visor strip on the top 5 inches of your windshield—the windshield tint Ohio allows.
WHAT OHIO ALLOWS
Ohio’s window tint rules are strict about the windshield. The only tint allowed is a non-reflective strip across the top 5 inches of the glass. Film below that line, including full-windshield film, is not legal for regular drivers in Ohio, and we will not install it.
We are telling you this up front because some shops online sell full-windshield film without explaining the law. Getting pulled over or failing an inspection is not worth it. What we can do is install a clean, straight visor strip that helps a lot with sun glare at the top of the glass.
THE VISOR STRIP
Driving east on I-70 in the morning or west on SR-161 at sunset puts the sun right at the top of your windshield. A visor strip blocks that band of glare so you are not squinting or fighting the sun visor. It also looks clean and finished, especially when it matches the rest of your tint.
HOW WE INSTALL IT
Jr. measures the strip from the top of the glass so it stays within the 5-inch limit, then cuts and fits it so the bottom edge is straight across the windshield. The glass is cleaned first so the film sits flat with no dust underneath. It is a quick add-on to any tint job, or a stand-alone service.
MEDICAL EXEMPTIONS
Ohio has a medical exemption process for drivers with certain conditions. Requirements can change, so confirm the current rules and paperwork with the state before asking for anything beyond the visor strip. Our Ohio tint law page has a short overview.
