Question 1

What window films do you install?

Accepted Answer

We are an authorized HITEK dealer and install HITEK Carbon IR (60% infrared rejection), Ceramic IR (75%), and Ceramic Ultra (98%).

Question 2

Do all your films block UV?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every HITEK film we install blocks 99% of UV rays.

Question 3

Is ceramic tint worth the upgrade?

Accepted Answer

If heat matters to you, yes. Ceramic films reject much more infrared heat than carbon and stay very clear.

Question 4

Will tint interfere with my phone or GPS?

Accepted Answer

No. HITEK carbon and ceramic films are non-metal and are designed not to interfere with phone, GPS, or radio signals.

Question 5

Will my tint turn purple?

Accepted Answer

Purple tint comes from cheap dyed film breaking down. HITEK carbon and ceramic films are made to hold their color.

Question 6

How dark can my front side windows be in Ohio?

Accepted Answer

Front side windows must read 50% or lighter (±3%), measured through the glass and film combined.

Question 7

Why do you recommend 70% film on the front windows?

Accepted Answer

Factory glass already blocks some light, so 50% film on factory glass usually reads under 50% combined. 70% film is the safe choice for front side windows.

Question 8

How dark can my back windows be?

Accepted Answer

Back side windows and rear glass can be any darkness.

Question 9

Can I tint my windshield?

Accepted Answer

Only a non-reflective strip on the top 5 inches of the windshield is allowed.

Question 10

Is mirrored or colored tint legal?

Accepted Answer

No. Mirrored or reflective film is not allowed on any window, and red or yellow tint is not allowed.

Question 11

How long does a tint install take?

Accepted Answer

Most installs take a few hours, depending on the vehicle, the windows, and whether old film needs to come off. Jr. gives you a time when you book.

Question 12

When can I roll my windows down?

Accepted Answer

Wait a few days so the film can cure. In cold weather curing takes longer, so wait longer. Jr. will tell you what to expect at pickup.

Question 13

Is haze or small bubbles normal right after install?

Accepted Answer

A little haze or small water pockets can appear while the film cures and usually clear up on their own. Contact Jr. if anything looks wrong.

Question 14

How do I clean tinted windows?

Accepted Answer

Wait until the film has cured, then use a soft cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner.

Question 15

Can you remove my old tint?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We remove old film, clean off the adhesive, and can re-tint with HITEK.

Question 16

How much does window tint cost?

Accepted Answer

Price depends on the vehicle, the windows you tint, and the film you choose. Call or text for pricing on your vehicle.

Question 17

How do I get a quote?

Accepted Answer

Text or call Jr. with your year, make, model, the windows you want tinted, and your preferred film, or use the quote form on our contact page.
