MONTES AUTO SPA · AUTOMOTIVE WINDOW TINT
Serious heat rejection for Ohio summers, clear views, and no signal interference—with HITEK Ceramic IR and Ceramic Ultra.
WHY CERAMIC
Ceramic window tint uses non-metal ceramic particles to block infrared light, the part of sunlight you feel as heat. The result is a cooler cabin without needing to go darker than you want. That matters in Ohio, where the front side windows have to stay at 50% or lighter. With ceramic, a light, legal front shade can still keep a lot of heat out.
Ceramic film is also very clear. It does not add haze, so the view through your windows stays crisp day and night. It blocks 99% of UV rays like every film we install, and it does not use metal, so it will not interfere with your phone, GPS, radio, or keyless entry.
OHIO SUMMERS
Central Ohio summers bring long stretches of hot, humid days. A car parked at work or at the Easton lot all afternoon can get hot enough to make the steering wheel hard to hold. Ceramic IR rejects 75% of infrared heat and Ceramic Ultra rejects 98%, so the cabin starts cooler and the AC catches up faster. Carbon IR, at 60%, is still a big improvement over bare glass.
CLARITY & SIGNAL
Older metallic films could block cell signals and look shiny from outside. Ceramic film has no metal, keeps a natural look, and stays clear for night driving. Ohio also does not allow mirrored or reflective film, and ceramic gives you heat rejection without the mirror look.
TESLA & EVS
Teslas and many newer EVs have large glass roofs that let in a lot of sun. Heat in the cabin means the AC draws more power from the battery. Ceramic Ultra on the side windows and, where it makes sense, the glass roof can make an EV more comfortable on hot days. Jr. has tinted Teslas and will talk you through what to cover and what to leave alone.

Infrared rejection is not the same as total solar heat rejection or shade darkness. Every film is available in multiple shades.

Lower percentage. Darker glass.

Suggested front-side film choice; confirm the installed glass + film reads 50% or lighter.
Ohio’s front side windows must measure 50% or lighter through glass and film combined. Factory glass plus 50% film usually reads below the limit. Even 70% film needs a combined measurement. Preview is illustrative, not a guarantee of appearance or legal compliance.
